Well we haven't taken our 13 month picture yet, things have been crazy! Lets start with the biggest news. A few days after the boys birthday I decided that I needed to go back to work. Yes, I had already told BV that I was taking another year of leave. Luckily BV had an opening teaching 6th grade Reading at a different school (same district). I was offered a job and gladly accepted. During this time the opening for the Administrative Intern became available, I thought why not just apply and see what happens. Well 3 interviews and a presentation later I have been hired to be the Administrative Intern at AB Middle! I am so excited. The boys will be going to daycare or as Bryan calls it day school. It is a smaller school in Overland Park, right by Grandma and Grandpa's. Big changes coming August 1st! Wish us all luck, we will need it! I see lots of tears in our future, but it will be very good for them.

This past month you boys have decided you need more sleep, we are talking 2, 1.5 - 2 hour naps! It is great! We are completely off bottles and have been since May 26th. You boys did great, no looking back. You guys are in to everything!

Hayden
You are walking everywhere. Crawling is your go to move if you are in a hurry but you are preferring to walk more and more, and you're getting pretty good at it! Breakfast is not your favorite meal but you love a nice cold glass of milk in the morning. You are over bananas, this makes me a little sad. I bet it doesn't last long.

Hudson
You want to talk so badly and babble all day. You point at everything is sight. If anything drops or falls you say O. You are fascinated with the boat, which your dad loves. You are getting so close to walking. You have taken steps but haven't officially "walked". You can stand alone and push the walker but haven't really taken off.

Cute picture right, well you have no idea how hard it is to get two one year old boys to sit still, let alone smile. Doesn't' exist and is impossible! Somehow I think Grandpa must be magic, he got this picture for us. But I want to be real and honest. See the picture below, this is what life is really like! Yes, Hudson was climbing the back of the chair while Hayden was making a side exit.

As I sit and write this post I cannot believe that 365 days have passed. The earth has fully rotated around the sun. You have been here a whole year! I still remember the first time I laid my eyes on you boys, I fell in love.

Our Schedule
6:00 Jumping and taling in bed usually starts
6:15 Mom finally comes in
6:15 Diapers
6:20 Breakfast - we are now doing 3 meals a day. You love bananas and oranges. I really have a hard time getting you to eat much more that fruit lately.
6:45 Dad comes down and plays
7:10 Dad leaves for work, we have lots of fun waving bye bye
7:50 Climb the stairs and make Mom's bed
8:00 - 9:00 Nap
9:15 Snack - squeezy or cheerios with mil
9:30 We usually run at this time or take Moo for a walk
11:00 Lunch - Fruit and Green beans are a favorite again. A grilled turkey sandwich is a hit too!
11:30-12:30 Play
12:30 - 1:00 Trying to get away from bottles - depends on how much lunch you eat and you both always poop at this time :)
1:00 2:15 Nap
2:30 - 4 Play, run errands, go to grandma's
4:00 Dinner - Lots of chicken usually or left overs from what we have had.
4:30 Bath
5:00 Dad comes home
5:00 - 5:40 Play with Dad
5:45 Bottle and then bed. You guys go to bed pretty early but are absolutely exhausted. Especially, Hayden. Sometimes Hudson gets a big second wind. You are both always very ready for bed.

Happy Birthday to my sweet sweet boys. We love you to the moon and back and back again.

11 Months

I feel like so much has changed this month, I always say it I can't believe we are so close to a year! The party planning has begun, your dad thinks I'm going over board but I want it to be perfect. We made the plunge this month and got big boy carseats, you both love them. I do not enjoy moving them back and forth between the cars so hopefully we will get some for dads car soon. You both started drinking real milk this month from a sippy. You enjoy it but don't typically make it through a whole glass, we are working on it. You love straws and prefer to drink from them, although it can be a bigger mess. You got new shoes this month, your first pair of Nikes! You two can roll the ball back and forth to each other. You are begging to communicate between the two of you and splashing mom at bath is a favorite pass time. You boys love eating out and are getting good at not dropping as much food on the floor. Your new favorite is Chic Fil-A, you boys love the grilled chicken nuggets.

Hayden: Brother you are finding your balance and thinking about walking. You can stand by yourself for about a minute. You took a half a step the other day towards Moo and decided crawling was much easier. You continue to be a wiggle worm when it comes time to be changed, especially after baths. You love your trucks still and love putting anything in the gum ball in the machine. You have not met a food you don't like. We went out for Easter brunch and you fell in love with mashed potatoes! You have 4 teeth, your bottom 2 are taking their sweet time to come in and your top teeth look like mama's (big). You are going to have a big smile!

Hudson: You have so much hair! It is thick and blond! You are much more independent than your brother, you are happy to play calmly by yourself. I am so grateful for your patience. You can stand but not long on your own, if you are busy playing and don't realize it you do better at standing alone. You love to climb stairs. You have always been very strong, this month you about did a pull up on the kitchen buffet table. You are very curious about everything around you. Still remotes, computers, phones, anything electronic calls your name. You will crawl as fast as you can to reach the electronics. Grandpa is very proud! You have 4 teeth and it appears that you will be getting 2 more soon. You also look like you will have your moms top teeth.

This month we had a great opportunity to do a race for our dear friend, Cindy. It was an amazing day! I am so proud of Jessie for running her first 5k! You did great girl!

Hayden HATES strollers, except for the running stroller, and is only ok with it when we are running. We use these backpacks most all of the time. Mom and Dad are always getting an extra work out.

The boys and I have been running together since July of 2011. In November my fellow twin mom, Jessa suggested we do a half marathon. Some how we decided on Nashville, TN. I did 90% of my training with Hayden and Hudson. It was a big accomplishment for us, although they didn't get to go to Nashville.
