17 Months

I am so late writing this. I have been the past couple of months. I am not going to lie, we have been so busy lately. I am working full time plus after after school things at least two days a week. We try to make the most of each minute we are together. My Mom told me when I was little that it isn't the amount of time we are together but the quality of time we are together. I like to think we make the most of each moment together. We have lots of fun together!

School is going so well for you both. Ms Vanessa is the nicest lady and you are both learning so much. It is so nice to see how excited you get to go to school everyday. Here is a run down of your day:

6:45 drop off with Ms Alex - she loves you both so much!
7:15 go to your classroom with Ms Vanessa and play
8:00 you do your learning - you have 2 main lessons a day and a song - Last week you drew a picture of our family, I have never looked so good :) (lots of scribbles)
9:00 Snack
9:15 Outside
10:00 Play
10:45 Brush your teeth
11:00 Lunch
11:30 - 1:30 Nap
1:30 Play
2:00 2nd Lesson
3:00 Outside
3:45 - We try to get you picked up each day by 3:45.

I have had lots of people ask how we get in and out of the car by ourselves. Who ever sits behind me gets out first, then we go over to the other side of the car, put first baby down by my legs. We have learned "hold on to mama's legs''. Then get out next brother. We usually carry one brother and the other walks. But there are days when everyone wants to walk or everybody wants to be carried. I have mastered the hold 2 babies while squatting. I think some people may watch us for pure entertainment.

You love books! If it is not a book or a truck, you are really not that interested. Your words are becoming much clearer. Your new favorite is Moo Moo. You call him Moo Moo Moo Moose. You love to eat and are really not a picky eater. I would say your favorite is anything with ketchup, you'll suck the ketchup off before you eat the actual food. You love to stand on your knees in the bathtub and plop down and make a huge splash. You will bring a book over to anyone and ask them to read it to you, you even asked a stranger at your Halloween party to read to you. If no one will read to you, you will sit down and read to yourself. You can follow the rhythm of books that you know. Ex: Brown Bear Brown Bear - you will blabber in the same rhythm.  You are so cute, we love you so much!

Oh boy, you have caught on to so many things. You really understand directions and can say back anything we say to you. My favorite thing you can do now is give hugs and kisses. You make kissing sounds and pucker your lips. If I tell you to go hug your brother, you will stop what you are doing and go wrap your arms around your brother. So adorable! You love Elmo or "mo mo". we put batteries in our Elmo that sings and you are fascinated! Speaking of fascinated.... you love your "papa". You have a picture that you carry around and are always saying "papa papa papa". You make us laugh! you love to pretend play / mimic what mama is doing, you are a helper! You test your limits more than your brother, always wanting to make sure we really mean what we say. And you love your waffles! Typically your biggest meal of the day is breakfast, you are a picky eater. But you love cookies!  I was looking at a picture of your Great Grandma Mary this week and it is very obvious that you are all Davy. A cross between Great Uncle Bill and your Great Grandma. Very handsome, we love you!
