5 Months

5 Months

Here I am again writing your monthly post, It hardly seams real that you are 5 months old. Time is flying and you boys are GROWING!

Hayden:

Oh my goodness boy you will not stay still! I call you Mr. Rolly Polly! It makes me laugh that the boy who HATED tummy time can not get enough of playing on his belly. As soon as we put you down you roll right over, or you just choose to roll all across the floor. You are mobile and you love it! You have started napping again, YEA!!!!! You have found your voice too, you just love to babble. You can sit up on your own for about 30 seconds but then topple forward. You are putting everything you come across in your mouth, I am thinking we should have a tooth pretty soon? You are so very strong! I love you Brother Bear!

Hudson:

Boy you love to smile and laugh! I like to think you take after me. You think that, "No No Moo Moo" is the funniest thing in the world! It is giving Moose a complex so we add in other peoples name, "No No Grandpa" is a close second now. I am a little worried what will happen when you understand the word no. I can see 2 year old Huddy just laughing when I tell you no. You are getting so strong! You can lift yourself up when you are having your bottle, you do not like to have your shoulder blades touching the pillow. You are still kicking up a storm, when I pick you up from bed you are usually upside down. You love to have your hands above your head when you sleep, curious to see if you like this when you are older. You are such a joy to be around, love you Huddy Buddy!

Food:
Bananas
Sweet Potatoes
Green Beans
Carrots
Squash

You two have not met a food that you don't like, the only thing you don't like is waiting for the other brother to eat.

Books have become a huge hit too! Hudson you love to look at the colors and Hayden you love to gnaw on them.

Your Dad and I love you both with our whole hearts, we are so very proud of you. Happy 5 Months Brothers!

Oh The Difference a Year Makes

This months marks a whole year since we found out we were pregnant and pregnant with two little miracles. It was a long journey to reach this point but I would not change a single thing. I love you H&H!

We took this picture before your Dad went out fishing, very early!  I told myself I would not take the test till 5am. I believe I held out till 4:59am.  (October 9th)

October 22nd we found out that we had a Baby A and a Baby B

Moose digesting the information that he would be a big brother!

And to prove, Mom use to have hip bones and abs!

A Weekend Away

This past weekend Bryan and I the opportunity to sneak away for a long weekend. We had an absolute blast! It was made possible by some pretty amazing Grandparents! Grandma and Grandpa Bruce were up for the challenge of watching H & H.

Wednesday at noon we packed up the truck Moose and all and headed south. I don't think I have ever seen the truck so full. I am pretty sure I over packed but did not want Grandma Janis to not have everything you might need.

Getting ready to hit the road!

Moose looking for some room to sleep
200 miles till Gma's house!

Not the best picture of all of our "stuff".

We all spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's Wednesday night, except Dad he had to work. We had lot of fun playing and going over your routine. I only cried a couple of times :) Thursday morning when you went down for your nap I headed out and drove back to Kansas City. I only cried a couple of times. I knew you were in good hands and would have a blast! Grandpa Bruce sent us lots of pictures of you two.
Hudson: Playing with Gma is hard work. Moose: Playing with Gpa is hard work.

You were the hit of Bella Vista!

While you boys were playing with Grandma and Grandpa your Dad and I were headed to Des Moines. I never in all my years thought that I would be vacationing in Des Moines..... We still had a blast!

Grandma drove me downtown to pick up your Dad. I was pretty excited to start our trip!
Headed to dinner Thursday night.

Bad picture.... but you can see the yummy food! Aunt Kate gave us a gift card to Flemmings Steak House.

We did some shopping Friday.

Followed by happy hour.....

Friday afternoon Grandma and Grandpa met us in Des Moines. We met up with Aunt Terry and Uncle Phil for drinks and dinner. We even celebrated Uncle Phil's birthday!

Catching up before dinner.

Saturday morning we headed up to Iowa City for the Iowa vs Northwestern Football Game! A special thanks to Uncle Bill and Aunt Carol for getting us a seat upgrade :) We had so much fun! We got to tailgate with Uncle Bill, Aunt Carol, Aunt Kate, Uncle Curt, Cousin Taylor, Cousin Kristin, and some other fun people. The best part was we beat Northwestern!

If you look close you can see Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Bill and Aunt Carol

We all had cards to hold up at certain points during the game.

Herky!

Somehow Grandpa's dream in life came true. He got to watch the 3rd and 4th quarter of the game on the field!

Check out this picture Grandpa took! No photo shop!

When we got home on Sunday it was a race to come in and see you boys! Your Dad and I drew cards to see who would get which boy first, we wanted to make it fair :) I drew Hayden and Dad drew Huddy. Although this picture was taken after we switched. We missed you boys so much! A huge thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for watching you guys! I think the 5 of you had a blast!

Running with Moose

Each morning we are still going out running. I am not sure who loves it more Moose or the boys? The weather has been a bit cooler in the morning so I have had to bundle you guys up. I must say there is nothing cuter than babies in hats!
