3 Months

It is hard to believe that you boys will be three months old on Monday. It is crazy to look back at the pictures from the day you were born, you both have doubled your birth weight. Your Dad and I are so proud of how far you have come.

Hayden
You have so much hair, this is the first thing that everyone says about you when the meet you. They also like to point out your one dimple on your cheek and your chubby cheeks. You are a very happy baby early in the morning. Today when I got you out of bed you looked up at me with those big blue eyes and gave me the worlds biggest smile. That smile is going to get you into some trouble when you get older. You do great at tummy time. You can lift your chest off of the mat and look around. You are also very close to rolling over. You are just starting to notice your brother, you love to suck on his hands. You are growing so much every day. I love you very much!



Hudson:
You are finally getting more hair! Your hair is very, very, blonde! Grandma thinks it is going to be very curly like your Great Uncle Bill.  You have a smile that will light up a room! You want to talk so very badly. We like to make ooohhhh sound at you and you are trying so hard to make the sound back to us. It is really very cute. You are a very social boy you love to play. At tummy time you are doing a great job. Your Dad and I find that you would rather just hang out than do your exercises. We think you have your Grandpa Dave's personality very laid back and care free.

Our typical day goes like this:
7:00 - I wake you up! Most of the time you wake up at 5ish and come down to sleep in your swing till 7.
7:15 You both take a 6oz bottle
7:50 We go out for a run with Moose
8:30 - 10:00 Nap
10:00 6oz bottle
10:30 - 1:00 Play time - we also meet Grandma Kathy for lunch a lot at First Watch. You all are such a hit with the old ladies :)
1:00 6oz bottle with cereal
1:30 - 4:00 Nap
4:00 6oz bottle
4:30 - 6:30 Play time - You both get very cranky around 6.
6:30 Bath time!
7:00 6oz bottle with cereal
7:30 Bed time!
You both wake up between 1:00 and 3:00 for another 6oz bottle.

2 Months

You boys grew so much! This is the month that you have really changed the most! Both of your cheeks started filling out and you are looking like big boys! You got your 2 month shots and did great. Much better than Grandma and I, I think we cried more than you guys!

Hayden:
11 pounds 15 ounces and 22'' long

Hudson
11 pounds 10 ounces and 22.5'' long.

You both were eating closer to 6oz bottles every 3-4 hours during the day and sleeping close to 5 hours. Except for your growth spurts. Then you are up closer to 3 hours and are HUNGRY!!!! Mom had a few sleepless nights this month. I swear as soon as I would get one of you to sleep the other one would wake up. And a couple of times you both decided to have a screaming match. No offense Hudson, but your brother has you beat on this.

Exciting things that happened this month:

Remember the blanket you had your just born picture taken on? Well Aunt Pam and Great Grandma Ida made another one for you guys! Now you will both have one to pass onto your babies! Thank  you ladies they are beautiful!

We made our first trip to Arkansas to visit Grandma and Grandpa! You guys did great in the car. Dad took Friday off so we hit the road as soon as you woke up from your morning nap. You both slept the whole way there!

I don't know why we don't have any pictures of Kennedy holding you. She was so excited to meet you two and did a great job of loving on you guys. Too bad she doesn't live closer, she would make an excellent babysitter. Love you Ken!

Daddy went away for a weekend this month, he went on a fishing trip. The 4 our us (including Moo) stayed over at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Of course Grandpa had to do a photo shoot for us! You guys are getting big!!!!

When Dad came back he couldn't wait to see you guys! Hudson was very excited to see him too!

A Special Visit from HT and FJ

We had a very special Fourth of July weekend. Aunt Debbie, Uncle Jack, Marci, Bill, Henry, and Felix all came to meet you two! Marci and Bill stayed with us to help out in the middle of the night. We truly appreciated your help, thanks guys!

One Month

At one month old you were both still eating every 3 hours. We ere trying to let you go longer in between feedings but you really liked to eat every 3 hours.  Dad and I were getting use to getting up so much. We began to enjoy staying up till 11, I must say I watched more Royals games this summer than I ever have in my life. Towards the end of this month I became better at feeding both of you and I let Dad sleep during the 5 am feeding since he was heading back to work. We were very lucky to have Dad home for 3 whole weeks!

Grandma Janis and Grandpa Bruce made another trip up to visit you. You all had a slumber party down stairs so Mom and Dad could get a whole night sleep. The plan was for you to sleep in the Pack 'n Play but you both ended up spending the whole night on Grandma and Grandpa. I think all four of you had a blast!

This was a great month getting to know you guys. It is crazy to see how much you grew in four short weeks.  Hudson you got your nick name this month, Huddy Buddy. Hayden, we are still working on a great nick name for you! Love you both!
