First Airplane Ride, HT's B-day, and the Fair!

Thursday, August 25th we headed out on your first airplane ride. We were headed up north to visit the VW's and the Moggs. Dad stayed home to work but Grandma, Grandpa, you, and I all had a great trip. We sent lots of pictures to Dad while we were away, he missed you guys tons!

On the way to the airport

Hudson resting up for his big trip

When we got to the airport we were all a little nervous on how you guys would do. Luckily you did great! Our plane did get delayed about 45 minutes. During our wait I took you guys to change your diaper, I only took you one at a time. I had to walk by a lot of people waiting for other planes to get to the bathroom. I had several women come up to me and think I changed the same boy twice. They were surprised to see that you guys were twins!

Once we landed we headed over to the Mogg house. Henry was happy to greet us with a smiles and magic tricks. Love this boy!

Have you ever heard of competitive cake eating?

The next day we headed to the Minnesota State Fair.  The boys did great and had a blast!

Everyone else stayed later but, we had to head home for a nap. The boys were exhausted! It was so nice to be out in the cool Minnesota air. Funny to think you were exhausted, all the pictures of you are sleeping pics!

Playing after your nap. You are really starting to notice each other.

Cousin Felix loves you guys!

Aunt Debbie loving on you!

More hanging out

Cat naps with Grandpa

You guys shared a pack 'n play at Aunt Marci's

Waiting to go home at the airport

Maggie got these great bibs for you guys from Alaska

As always it was very hard to leave all of our family up north. We are now trying to plan our next adventure up north. Thanks VW's and Moggs for the great hospitality! We had a blast!

I forgot the best part! Henry turned 5!

August Happenings!

We started off August with a celebration of Grandpa's birthday! He turned 59!

The three of us made a very special trip to Grandpa's office. We stopped and got him a ballon and a cupcake, I am pretty sure we have started a new tradition! Hopefully we will not continue the tradition of stinky diapers behind grandpa's desk :)

That evening we had Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Jim, Aunt Amy, and Sammy all over for bbq. We even had Grandpa's favorite chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I got a little creative during nap time and added all of the poka-dots.

Your cousin Taylor made it down to meet you guys. Aunt Kate and Claire came too! They had a lot of fun loving on you guys.

Taylor and Huddy

Claire and Hayden

We also celebrated Uncle Jim's 32nd birthday. Brad came to join our festivities, he loved meeting you guys! Jim, Grandpa, Dad, and Brad all went to the Royals game that day too.

Uncle Jim got this jersey, not sure when he got into hockey?

You had your first "slumber" party at Grandma and Grandpa's. This was actually the 3rd time you stayed there but this was the first time you actually slept. (7:30-12 and 12:30-6). When I came to pick you up you were on the floor with Grandpa reading the Best Buy Ad.

August brought surprisingly cooler weather and I finally got released to run. You boys were just as excited as I was to finally hit the pavement. We have really enjoyed running together in the morning. Hudson you usually fall asleep and Hayden you are either kicking your feet in excitement or are not happy. We have only had 2 runs where you were not happy, I think it was just a little hot for you. Aunt Debbie, Uncle Jack, Aunt Marci, and Uncle Bill got us this stroller and it is AMAZING!!!!!!! We will be doing our first 5k together in September, can't wait!
Moose LOVES our runs!

Your Dad thought this was funny, I sent it to him during nap time. "I think Hayden is having bad dreams. He wakes up every 20 minutes screaming then goes right back to sleep. Hudson has pooped so the whole room reaks. I don't want to change him cause he won't go back to sleep. OH the joys of two little boys."

You guys even tried infant oatmeal for the first time. The doctor said we could start letting you practice eating. You both really enjoy it, the only problem is that you both are a little impatient when it comes to eating. If you look closely at the picture below you will see Hudson screaming. I hope this isn't a sign of your sharing skills.

Notice how happy Hudson became when it was his turn.

We haven't done a lot more of spoon feeding. However you are now getting oatmeal in 3 of your bottles a day. You guys suck them down! You like the heavier meal. We will start real food at 4 months!

Here are just a few pictures from my phone at the end of the month.

Looking forward to another special month with you!

3 Months

It is hard to believe that you boys will be three months old on Monday. It is crazy to look back at the pictures from the day you were born, you both have doubled your birth weight. Your Dad and I are so proud of how far you have come.

Hayden
You have so much hair, this is the first thing that everyone says about you when the meet you. They also like to point out your one dimple on your cheek and your chubby cheeks. You are a very happy baby early in the morning. Today when I got you out of bed you looked up at me with those big blue eyes and gave me the worlds biggest smile. That smile is going to get you into some trouble when you get older. You do great at tummy time. You can lift your chest off of the mat and look around. You are also very close to rolling over. You are just starting to notice your brother, you love to suck on his hands. You are growing so much every day. I love you very much!

Hudson:
You are finally getting more hair! Your hair is very, very, blonde! Grandma thinks it is going to be very curly like your Great Uncle Bill.  You have a smile that will light up a room! You want to talk so very badly. We like to make ooohhhh sound at you and you are trying so hard to make the sound back to us. It is really very cute. You are a very social boy you love to play. At tummy time you are doing a great job. Your Dad and I find that you would rather just hang out than do your exercises. We think you have your Grandpa Dave's personality very laid back and care free.
